Vimotek to strengthen its board with Robert de Try

After supporting Vimotek in business development and strategy, Robert de Try will continue contributing at board level as he takes on the full-time role of Head of Sales at OHB Sweden.

Vimotek is strengthening its board with Robert de Try, adding extensive experience from across the Swedish and European space sector.

Robert has supported Vimotek in business development and strategy since 2024. As he takes on the full-time role of Head of Sales at OHB Sweden, he will continue contributing to Vimotek at board level, bringing his industry and commercial experience to the company’s long-term direction.

Experience across industry and institutional space

Robert brings almost two decades of experience spanning institutional space, spacecraft systems, engineering leadership and business development.

He spent close to ten years at the Swedish National Space Agency, where he served as Head of Telecommunication and Navigation and worked with national technology programmes, European Space Agency activities and Sweden’s participation in European space programmes.

He subsequently held senior roles at GomSpace, including Business Development Director and Director of Engineering, before moving into leadership positions at Bradford Space and ECAPS.

His career has also included work with the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority and board and advisory assignments within the Swedish technology and space sector.

Strengthening Vimotek’s governance

Robert’s combination of institutional, technical and commercial experience adds a broad industry perspective to Vimotek’s board as the company expands its technology development, customer activities and participation in European space programmes.

Having already worked closely with Vimotek, he also brings direct knowledge of the company, its technology and its market environment.

His continued involvement at board level strengthens Vimotek’s governance as the company develops and commercialises technologies for increasingly demanding spacecraft operations.
