Vimotek named to Ny Teknik’s 33 List

Ny Teknik has selected Vimotek for its 2025 33 List of Sweden’s most promising technology startups, recognising the company’s work on technologies for spacecraft encounters.

Vimotek selected for Ny Teknik’s 2025 33 List

Vimotek has been selected for Ny Teknik’s 2025 33 List, recognising 33 of Sweden’s most promising young technology companies.

Published annually since 2008, the 33 List highlights Swedish technology companies built around proprietary innovation with the potential to succeed internationally.

For Vimotek, the recognition reflects the growing relevance of technologies that help operators prepare for and handle increasingly complex spacecraft encounters.

Selected from Sweden’s technology startup landscape

Ny Teknik reviews several hundred young Swedish technology companies as part of the selection process.

To qualify for the 33 List, companies must be Swedish, privately held, no more than seven years old, based on their own technical innovation and pursuing a business idea with international potential.

Ny Teknik states that around 300–400 companies are initially reviewed before the field is progressively narrowed to the final 33.

Vimotek was included in the 2025 selection alongside companies working across a wide range of advanced technology fields.

Technology for increasingly important spacecraft encounters

Vimotek develops technology for situations in which spacecraft operate in proximity to other objects in orbit.

The company connects mission-specific digital twins with onboard sensing and perception to help operators prepare for and handle spacecraft encounters before and during missions.

That includes planned proximity operations such as rendezvous, inspection, servicing, docking and robotics, as well as situations where another object approaches or behaves in ways the operator did not initiate or control.

Across these contexts, the objective is the same: make spacecraft encounters more controlled, predictable and operationally assured.

Recognition as Vimotek expands its European role

The 33 List recognition comes as Vimotek expands its participation across commercial, institutional and European space initiatives.

The company is developing technology for both proximity operations and proximity events, with applications spanning in-orbit services, mission assurance, space security and the resilience of high-value space assets.

Being selected for the 33 List provides independent recognition of Vimotek as one of the young Swedish technology companies with international potential.

For Vimotek, it is also recognition of the team behind that work — and of the opportunity to establish European technology for an operational challenge that will become increasingly important as activity in orbit grows.
