Hello, world.
Vimotek is building vision and motion technology for spacecraft and robotic systems operating in proximity to other objects — combining onboard sensing, processing and control for future space missions.

Vimotek is a new Swedish space technology company focused on vision and motion technology for space.
We are developing machine-vision and motion-control solutions for spacecraft and robotic systems operating in close proximity to other objects.
Our initial focus is on applications including proximity navigation, situational awareness, docking, inspection and vision-guided robotics for small satellites, nanosatellites and rovers.
Vision for proximity operations
Future spacecraft will increasingly need to detect, understand and operate around other objects with greater precision.
Vimotek is developing compact onboard vision systems for these missions, combining multiple spectral bands with sensor fusion and onboard image processing.
The aim is to give spacecraft access to more of the information they need directly onboard, supporting operations where reliable perception and relative navigation become critical.
Our work includes multi-spectral sensing across visible, near-infrared and long-wave infrared wavelengths, together with onboard processing designed for space applications.
Connecting perception and motion
For proximity operations, sensing is only part of the problem.
Spacecraft and robotic systems also need to use that information as part of navigation, docking, inspection and interaction with other objects.
Vimotek is therefore working across both machine vision and motion control, with the ambition of making advanced capabilities easier to integrate into future spacecraft and robotic platforms.
The goal is to provide complete hardware and software solutions that can be adapted to different missions without requiring every operator to develop the full sensing and processing chain from the ground up.
Built for future space missions
Space operations are becoming more complex.
Satellites will increasingly need to inspect other spacecraft, approach and dock with them, support robotic activities and operate with greater awareness of their surroundings.
Vimotek is being built around those challenges.
We are starting with vision and motion technology designed to help future spacecraft see, understand and operate around other objects in space.
